Chanterelle search – Summer & Autumn

Chanterelle search

Summer & Autumn

We know that exercise, mental stimulation and passivity are important for our dogs… However maybe you enjoy mushroom picking in the wood, and have wondered how you are going to have time to fit it all in?

Imagine having the opportunity to combine the dogs’ activation and picking mushrooms while you have fun together! On this course, we will teach the dog to search for chanterelles, which is a form of scent detection. We learn how to read the dogs’ body language, as it might be a good idea to know when the dog has found the chanterelles, or what do you think? We will also gain a greater understanding of the dogs’ nose at work, and how sniffing is an instinctive fun search / foraging activity for our dogs. Safety and our obligation to be mindful of how we move around in the woods, as well as our dogs’ safety, and of course all the woods’ own inhabitants.

During the course, you and your dog receive practical exercises and games geared for all adventures and searches you’ll be having in the woods.

You and your dog will gain both knowledge and the tools to continue to have many fun times together in the woods with potential for development in your future searches.

Welcome to the woods!
