About me
Hello Everyone!
I thought you might like to know a little something about me, that is, not only about my accreditation, education, certificates, diplomas, courses, lectures, which clubs I’m a member of, and bla, bla, bla…
Oh! But don’t worry! I have made a select list of it all further down on this page to reassure you that I am formally qualified to work with you and your dog.
However, as a dog owner myself I feel that, while it is very important that the dog instructor or dog behaviourist I go to has a sound education and abides by ethics, No force, No fear, No Pain, it is also good to understand what drives a person to work with dogs and, dog to human relation.

So, this is me in short…
My very first encounter with dogs was at the age of about 4. The dogs were two German Shepards, they were trained guard dogs, and well I suppose thinking about it now, they did guard me too? But to me they were my best friends!
I haven’t always had my own dogs as I’ve spent most of my life as a Swedish expatriate in a multitude of countries, but dogs have always been in my life in one way or another.
I believe my passion for dogs, curiosity for communication and a wanting to understand not only dogs but humans too, finally made me change career… I also think that the fact that I am a mixed breed of sorts, i.e. half Swedish, half Italian, born in Cairo might have something to do with my intense curiosity of the different ways communication can take place, my drive to understand both dog and humans and to never forget the importance of having fun!
My work with dogs while I was living abroad was mostly on a one-to-one basis as well as volunteer in shelters, which in some countries also included helping the vets in different situations; some of the countries were: Canada, Singapore, Qatar, UK, Spain. Since moving back to Sweden I’ve made working with dogs my career, were I have worked with Hundens Hus in Stockholm, and I still today work as a consultant for Hundhjälpen i Uppland, as well as running my own company – Thinking Dog.
I won’t list all the dogs that have been part of my family, but they have all impacted me in one way or another and for that I’m truly grateful! Sussi – Border Terrier, she showed me that dogs know how to fish with paws, that is our fish from the pond in the garden!!! Pepsi an 8 year old Cocker Spaniel she was a rescue, – feared birds, our walks were a challenge to say the least.
Now if you are a dog owner, you might know exactly what I mean when I say the following, and if you are thinking about getting a dog, you too will soon find out what I mean. I have had the honour to love and be a part of their lives and care for Mike who was a German Shephard, and Joey who was a Chocolate labrador, they are still today, my “soul dogs”.
Both Mike and Joey stood by my side in difficult times, they both tested me and taught me a great deal in dog communication and emotion. Joey even helped three dogs while we lived in Qatar through tough times and made it possible for us to find them forever homes in the UK, Germany and the US.
Today I have the joy to live with Douglas, he is a super cuddly, high energy, lives to play and to carry anything that will fit in his mouth, young yellow labrador. Life with dogs is good!
